This on going project is a collection of images from my one month of travel to Brazil and time at Casa Na Ilha Art Residency. While in Brazil I aimed to connect with community members and research Afro-Brazilian culture. This project will be part of a life-long project I aim to produce capturing countries, states, and cities with a large population of members of the African diaspora. While there I visited the Island of Ilhabela in Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo City, and Salvador in the state of Bahia.
